How long will it take to hear whether my application is successful?
No longer than one week, we aim to reach out within 48hrs.
Can I attend your events as an attendee?Unfortunately this event is exclusively for those participating.
Can I participate remotely at this event?This event is strictly in-person and everyone will be required to attend in person at the event, otherwise will be marked as withdrawn from the event. We do not facilitate online participation at our in-person events.
Will xStocks offer travel scholarships to hackers?The event is free-of-charge to attend. Unfortunately, xStocks does not cover any travel, visa or accommodation costs to attend our in-person events. However, we do provide food for the duration of the event. We will have some chill / decompression rooms to relax and take a nap at the event on a first come first serve basis but there are no showering facilities so we recommend that all attendees find suitable and comfortable accommodation.
What can I build during the event?You are allowed to work on any idea you are excited about as long as it is building within an EVM ecosystem and connected to a track. This means the event is open-ended and you are not required to solve any particular problem. Our goal is to help you bring a project you're excited about to life by providing you with technical help, mentorship, and resources.
Can I start working on my project before the event?No. In the interest of fairness, attendees should not be working on their projects before the hackathon begins and we do not allow participants to work on pre-existing projects. However, you can familiarize yourself with all the tools and technologies you intend to use beforehand!
Can I use AI to build my project?The use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) is generally permitted, but with the following guidelines to ensure transparency and integrity:
- Attribution: Clearly document in your submission where and how AI tools were used in the project. This includes specifying which parts of the code, specific files, or assets were generated or assisted by AI.
- Involvement: AI tools should be used to assist your development process, not to create the entire project. Submissions that rely entirely on AI without meaningful contributions from team members may not be eligible for partner prizes or finalist consideration.
